A New York native, Lewis Karpel is a TV news photojournalist, editor and field technician. He covers short and long form stories alone or with a reporter and can deliver quality work under extreme deadlines and weather conditions.
As an award winning photojournalist at CBS Minnesota (WCCO-TV Minneapolis/St. Paul), Lewis shoots and edits daily general news stories, breaking news, features and sports assignments. He also works as a field technician transmitting live signals from remote locations utilizing state of the art ENG technology.
Prior to working in the midwest, Lewis was a photojournalist for the NBC, CBS and CW affiliates in Central New York. He worked on long form specials and traveled throughout the northeast on assignment covering several national stories including the Clinton Correctional Facility prison break, President Obama's 2015 State of the Union address, the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings, and the arrival of Super-storm Sandy at Battery Park in Lower Manhattan.
